• Adoption Info

We try to find the best match between our homeless animals and their new owners. We operate a no "time limit" policy for all the animals we have available for adoption - we will care for them until we find the very best home for them.

Remembering Animals in Your Will

Remember Your Pet In Your Will

When making or changing your Will, please remember your pets. Your family and friends
may not know  what to do with your pet once you are gone.
If you have a friend or family member who is willing to care for your pet after your lifetime,
please ask your lawyer to specify this in your Will.
If you don't have anyone in mind, you can ask your lawyer to specify that the North Taranaki SPCA will become the new owner of your pet when you can no longer care for it.
We will then do everything possible to find a perfect new home for your pet.
You can also leave a letter with your will giving information about your pet – their likes and dislikes and medical history.

Remembering SPCA Animals In Your Will

Remembering animals in your will is a powerful way to leave a lasting legacy of hope for
the animals who need it most . The North Taranaki SPCA is extremely appreciative of those
wonderful people who have left us gifts in their Wills

Please do not be discouraged if you are only able to gift a small amount.
Any amount that you can afford to give will help us to reduce suffering and save the lives of animals
– a number of people giving a small amount is as effective as receiving a larger amount from one person.
You do not need to make a new will to include a bequest to the SPCA but you do need to consult your Trustee or Lawyer to ensure your wishes are clearly and correctly documented.

The information below is a guide only.
